Open access archives are digital repositories whose contents are freely accessible.
They can be institutional or disciplinary ones.

AperTO is the Open Access institutional archive which preserves the University of Torino's scientific production.
Based on the copyright policies of individual publishers, it may contain pre-prints (first version of the article submitted to the publisher), post-prints (final version with reviewers' corrections) or editorial pdfs.
